New App from Existing App

Something that I would find useful would be that when you want to start a new App, when you click '+NewApp' an option to create the new App using an existing App as the template. Some of the Apps that I am working on and planning to do will contain similar layouts and even some of the same information so this would save a bit of time in not having to re add pages, files, images etc to each project. Regards

If you're self hosted, Mr. VanBeveren has a slew of modifications for the Self Hosted server. One of those is a 'copy utility' that will allow you to copy non-menu screens from one app to another. https://www.buzztouchmods.com/downloads.php?cat_id=2&download_id=49 Otherwise, I'm working on a copy app script, haven't decided whether it'll be paid or not, and it will only work for copying apps into a self hosted server, such as migrating apps off of BT into a self hosted server. It will not import 'into' a BT Hosted account. Only 'from' a BT hosted account. Regardless of which way you plan to travel, the common denominator is 'Self Hosted Server'. Hope this helps! Thanks Smug, As a relative 'newbie'(signed up in March but didnt really start getting stuck in to it until August) to BT I am still feeling my way around. As I suspect there is far more scope with self hosting ie. php files, more plugins etc. Probably go that way in New Year when I have a bit more grounding! Cheers, Paul

No issues at all! Hope you find what you need! But if not, just yell on the forums; someone is bound to hear you! I think self hosting is the way to go, with respect to total BT flexibility. When you get closer to making a commitment you can always ask in the forums for suggestions (although 'hostgator' seems to be a popular choice for a lot of BT'ers). and if you get stuck in code, yell about that as well! Cheers! -- Smug

When you make the move to Self-Hosted, it would probably be the best thing you'd have done. It's a fantastic path to travel down, if you're keen to get apps done.
