linking to a website from a menu item

Hello! I'm just about finished with version 1.0 of my first app. I'd like the consumer to be able to tap one of my menu items and be taken to an e-commerce website (to buy my book!) Is that possible? If so, how? Thanks so much for your help! -Manny

There's always the CustomURL plugin. But you may want to consider using a "Launch Native App" action to have the user exit your app, and approach the ecommerce site from Safari. I only say this because I got nabbed by Apple on a (non-profit) donation issue. Read up on their guidelines for commercial stuff; they may want a piece of the pie. Cheers! -- Smug

As smug says, Custom URL is the best option.

Thank you both, Smug & Thomas! I'm going to try both solutions and see which one works best! Thanks again. -Manny

I use the Launch Native App and tie it to Safari. I think the get a slightly better user experience that way, if you're truly wanting to send them away from the app and into what is probably a more detailed website. Mark
