Problems uploading ver 3.0 app to iTunes

I thought I finally had this down to a science. Now, with the ver 3.0 BT app, I am getting the following errors: Package Summary: 1 package(s) were not uploaded because they had problems: /var/folders/tk/8jgzhx8d0z1dz9s8q38pkv_c0000gn/T/463308843.itmsp - Error Messages: Apple's web service operation was not successful Unable to authenticate the package: 463308843.itmsp ERROR ITMS-9000: "Invalid Image Path - No image found at the path referenced under key 'CFBundleIconFile': 'Icon.png'" at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage) ERROR ITMS-9000: "Invalid Image Path - No image found at the path referenced under key 'CFBundleIconFiles': 'Icon.png'" at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage) ERROR ITMS-9000: "Invalid Image Path - No image found at the path referenced under key 'CFBundleIconFiles': 'Icon-72.png'" at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage) ERROR ITMS-9000: "Invalid Image Path - No image found at the path referenced under key 'CFBundleIconFiles': '[email protected]'" at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage) ERROR ITMS-9000: "Invalid Image Path - No image found at the path referenced under key 'CFBundleIconFiles': '[email protected]'" at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage) ERROR ITMS-9000: "This bundle is invalid. Apps that include an armv7s architecture are required to include an armv7 architecture." at SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage) I know most of this has to do with the new image assets way of doing icons. Initially the files above said Icon_57, Icon_72, etc. I changed the names with the new icon names but still getting the error. Any ideas how to fix it? And I'm not sure why I'm getting the armv7 issue again either. Josh

It looks like you may have added the icons to your project… but are they listed in your plist? Cheers! -- Smug

You can just delete the references in the build settings (all the references under CFBundleIconFIles). Did that a couple days ago and it published fine.

Initially my plist looked the same as the old BT project with Icon_57, Icon_ 114, Icon_ 72 and Icon_144. When I first got these errors I figured it was because the image assets no longer had icon files with those names so I changed them to the new ones of the same dimensions but I still get the errors... only now instead of saying Icon_57 it says Icon.png, and so forth.

Ed, It is from the control panel. None of the plugins gave me any problems. I MAY have solved my issue... at least I managed to get it uploaded with the application loader. The armv issue was a rookie mistake... the option for "build archive architecture only" I mistakenly had set to yes instead of no. As for the icons, I'm not sure if this will cause problems with the review, but I just copied all the icon files and pasted them in the BT_Art/icons folder in addition to having them in the new image assets and that seemed to work.

I can also confirm that removing all the references under CFBundleIconFIles in the BT_info.plist resolves this problem. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with me getting the same missing icons error when validating my project. See Below I also want to note that I change my app Target > General > "App Icons" from using the Asset Catalog provided with the BT project to adding my own icon files in the BT_Images directory and specifying them individually in Xcode. When you turn off Asset Catalog in the General section you are presented with a list of the icon sizes Xcode wants and the ability to browse your project for the files. I used my own icon files because for some reason my app icons were not retina using the AppIcon Asset Catalog provided with the BT project download.

How exactly do you delete the references from the plist?

If you want to modify the BT_info.plist file in Xcode go into the BT_Config folder and click on the BT_info.plist file. Then on the right you will see the content of that file. This is where you can make your edits. Once finished do a "command + s" to save the file.
