Google map Error

I am getting error : Map activity : Couldn't get connection factory client. I did all setting in Eclipse according http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGC9IuEMwBE&list=TL2lqejXV9gf4Ny-wUIFsn2YRn69HoRGDu project is Google APIs, in key tool I found debug key and get Google map api , which I put it in strings.xml, map view ok , android manifest in debug on , ADK I installed Google play service for froyo. I try clean project, reinstall project no change. What did I miss here?

Hi @Dunne, Welcome to Buzztouch! It sounds to me like you're using the old Buzztouch v2 code for Android, which supports the old Google Maps for Android API v1. Google no longer supports that API. Buzztouch has released the v3 code, which has support for the new Android API v2. There are instructions in the package on how to do the maps stuff. Check it out, and let me know if you still have problems. Mark

Hello, I see I missed basic. I exported Buzztouch V3 and imported to eclipse and set up Google play and API in Manifest. Now I am getting errors : Could not find class 'com.google.android.gms.maps.MapFragment' Did map work at all on virtual android device or I need to have actual device ? Thank you for help. Michaela

Hi Michaela, The maps stuff does NOT work on an emulator, unfortunately. You'll need a real device to get it to work. This is for the new Google Maps API Key v2...the old one, which is no longer supported by Google, does work on an emulator. Seems like a step backwards to me. Mark

My app is installed on my device but the map isn't working. I suspect I have installed services , can't figure out how its done. The google instructions are like reading a multi language manual.
