Smug's EULA plugin help

Hi guys, I have downloaded this from BTMs for free, great, thanks! How do I add it to the app to ensure it loads on start up please? Many thanks.

Hi Alex, Cheers to Smug! This plugin is categorized as a "Splash" so that it gets priority when the app first loads. As a Splash, you need to go into your app "theme" and find the splash screen input, and enter the nickname of the screen there :-) David https://buzztouchmods.com/market

Unfortunately, it sounds like we can't use the EULA plug in along with an actual splash screen.

I never thought of that... I stopped using splash screens, I think they are kind of old, tacky, I don't know the word, but it makes me feel like my app is from the 90's LOL (my opinion of course, but I don't see facebook/twitter doing it these days). Maybe there is a solution to that, bet Smug could think of something. Either way, all is possible with code.. just gotta find the how.. Cheers. David https://buzztouchmods.com/market

@MrVanBeveren - Splash screens can indeed make your clients a lot of money depending on how they use it. Imagine "Advertising space" in a very popular app that your client can charge their "sponsors" for a spot in their app if they are trying to reach a specific demographic or a large audience ;) That's just one use of it as I've seen it work out and have very nice benefits. 90's or not..I like money and can't turn that down

Bahahaha you are right, I forgot that big games use them to advertise the makers, studios, and whatnot. Guess I used them for the wrong reason :-) Advertising space... Brilliant. David https://buzztouchmods.com/hire-me

Yeah, sorry, because the EULA plugin is a 'splash screen' plugin, it's the designated splash screen, or it's not used. I can give you 50% off for that ;) I'm considering a popup 'alert' style EULA as well, but I'm going to gouge people for it… It'll probably cost in excess of $3 or $4 or so… Then I'll be swimming in the big bucks :) Of course, if you want to get creative, the SmugEula screen is merely an HTML view; you can have half Eula/half advertising if you want… It's up to you how to use that HTML page… Cheers! -- Smug

Cheers Smug. I have an app already created in my Buzztouch CP, how would I get it working by just adding the plugin to the project in xcode? Many thanks. (This is a massively important plugin - Apple are insisting on a EULA for any uploads made by the app user.)

It's fairly simple, at least on paper. 1) Add the screen to your project. Set any control panel properties you feel important. 2) Navigate to your 'theme' page of your control panel. Should be right next to the 'Screens' link. 3) Select your screen in the place indicated (Second 'pane' down in my CP). That 'should' be it. It could be a little prettier, and I'm working on that. But otherwise, off you go. But if you do run into issues, Let me know. I haven't tested it for BT v3 yet, so mea culpa on any errors. Cheers! -- Smug

Sorry smug, I wasn't clear. I have made the app in the BT control panel, as in in the buzztouch site. 3rd party plugins do not show on there. I thought I'd just re make it on my server cp but for some reason the email image plugin does not work on there! So if I add the plugin to my project I will manually need to implement it as it will not show on the cp. any ideas? Cheers

Hmm… the new v3 was supposed to allow 3rd party plugins. I guess that feature isn't implemented yet. Oh. Well, do you have the Stobe Snippet keeper…? If you have that would work for you. Otherwise, you might consider splash screen surgery. Different splash screen, Eula code. Let me know if I can help. Cheers! -- Smug
