Alert Menu Problem

Hi, My home page is a Menu Button plug-in, one of the buttons uses alert menu when you click on it, pretty much most of the time it works fine and just goes back to the home page after you click the alert menu button. But sometime when the alert menu comes up my home page disappears in the background. Does anyone know why that would happen? -Gledy

@Gledy: I am sorry you are having problems with the AlertMenu Problem. Are you using BT3.0 or BT2.0? Are you Self Hosted? Jake

Hi Jake, Its not a massive problem, just ready to upload to the app store and just making sure everything works perfect. I am not self hosted and I started making the app on BT2.0 so I am guessing thats what it is? Sorry still new to this. Gledy

Are you compiling for iOS 7 with the BT2.0 app? Jake

Im not going to lie I don't know, Im running it in Xcode 5, when I download the project from the buzz touch website, I press 'Prepare iOS Project' not 'Use the Buzztouch Core for iOS v3.0' So I am guessing its BT2.0 running in iOS 7 in Xcode. Gledy

@Shenry: I replied. @Gledy: So you are using a BT2.0 Project. BT2.0 is the older source code, which is not fully compatible with iOS 7, however, it should function fine. Is the transition to the AlertMenu set to Fade? Jake

Yeah it's set on fade, I have since my last post downloaded the project with BT3.0! Do you think it's the fade setting that was doing it?

Hi Jake, I have come across it again, maybe it is something to do with the fade option?

@Gledy: Can you post the link to a screenshot of the screen you are launching the AlertMenu from? Jake

@Gledy: This makes since. If you would like further assistance, can you email your Project to me and I will see if it is a problem with the Alert Menu or the Menu with Buttons? My email: [email protected] Thanks, Jake

@Gledy: We can continue to diagnose it through the forum. Is the project you posted the screenshots of the BTv2.0 project or BTv3.0 project you downloaded? I think I am beginning to understand what is going wrong, it may have to do with the status bar. Jake

I have just performed extensive tests on the plugin. What button do you click when it goes wrong? Jake

The three buttons that I said before (top right, bottom left & bottom right) they all have the alert menu on them and it happens to all of them! If I had to put a number on it, maybe every 20 times they are pressed you get the blank screen I sent you!

Ok, this is an odd error. I have tried tapping on my demo app many times in a row and am not experiencing this error. I had an idea: Can you comment out the line 135. It says [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES]; Does this help? Jake

I am sorry for this problem I have some other ideas: Ok, this may be a problem with the Menu with Buttons Plugin. Can you try and create a test screen (like menu simple or menu simple advanced) and try tapping it, and see if this happens? Does it always happen when tapping the same button? Jake
