Creating your own SSL Certificate

A discussion about App Transport Security, and SSL/TLS for the future prompted me to pound out a quick tutorial on how to create your own SSL certificate, and a little about how and why. It's fairly quick and pointed, so I'd appreciate some corrections or improvements if possible. https://www.marianasgps.com/public/SSLCerts.pdf Cheers! -- Smug

Very timely. Was reading this today. https://nabla-c0d3.github.io/blog/2016/08/14/ats-enforced-2017/ Won't be long till the server needs this.

Thanks @nadthevlad. Just to make sure I understand this, our existing self-hosted apps on http will be ok. This will affect new apps. And the solution is just to add SSL to our self-hosted domains. Right?

Fortunately, Apple delayed the implementation of ATS. But eventually, all apps will need https to communicate with their 'mothership'. Cheers! -- Smug
