Apple and other carriers / manufacturers are picky about this for obvious reasons. You probably will be best having a customized solution created, like you mentioned. We don't keep a list of recommended developers and won't be able to help find one. However, your web site developer may be able to use the tools at buzztouch to make you an app with a custom HTML screen that could automatically update?
