When I upload an image or an icon it won't let me crop it?

I am unable to crop and image after I upload it. I can upload it OK but when it re-loads full-size I don't see a way to crop it like the instructions say?

The image upload / crop tool requires that your browser has Javascript enabled. Please enable javascript then try again. In fact, nearly all the screens on the site require that your browser have Javascript running. If you do not, enable it (check your browsers settings or preferences menu / options) then try again. You may need to close then re-open your browser.

Never seen that one, laughs. Not sure what could be causing the trouble? There were about 1250 images uploaded and cropped today by lots and lots of visitors (this project it really taking off) and all seem OK. Could it be some kind Internet Explorer issue? Other than deleting the browser-cache and re-trying, I have no clue! No Windows machine with me so I can't test it for a few days - I'm a Mac guy.
