I feel your pain, I really do. I struggled in the early days to get this all figured out, hence, the creation of this site! It really should be easier than they make it. And, it should be easier than your having too - sorry for that. 1) Be sure you have the Bundle Identifier set in the .plist file (in the Config folder) and the Project Properties screen, like you posted earlier. 2) Be sure you have Device | Release selected in the drop-down list. This is different than Device | Distribution or Device | Debug. It must be Release. If you don't have a Release configuration option, create a new configuration like you did earlier but name it Release instead of Distribution. 3) Quit Xcode 4) Re-start Xcode, 'Clean All Targets' from the build menu 5) Build (not Build and Run) with Device | Release selected If you code signing certificate on iTunes is for App Store, and your Bundle Id is set properly it will work. Not sure how else to guide you? I'll be gone most of tomorrow and hope someone else can jump in to help you if you can't get this worked out. It sure sounds to me like you are still Building (compiling) for Distribution, this is different than Release.

I had the same problem. I read David Book instruction then follow it. I submit my app now. I think our mistake is that we chose build and run. Maybe we suppose to chose only buil as David said because when I chose build only it works with me :-)
