More Plugins?

I have a very small list to choose from to add Plugins to my app. I'm looking to add an option in my app for the user to scroll to choose whether they have excellent, good, fair, poor personal credit. How would I find something like that? Thanks, Kristin

First, find what is available that works. Then look to integrate it into your BT app. If you're thinking about a credit agency, you might look to TRW, Experian, or one of those places for an API of some nature. Not sure if that's what you're looking for; hope it helps! Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks Smug. So is it safe to assume that there are many plug ins out there that I can just find to use? Developers create plugins for others to use or do you need to buy them in many cases? Where would I look? In the app store? Thanks! Kristin

Would a menu plugin work? Each row of the menu could be one of the survey options?

Well, buzztouch plugins are only available in the plugin market... and there are a few 'un-endorsed' plugins at buzztouchmods.com and such... My 'upcoming' plugin is something I found code for, and modified to suit the buzztouch platform. Depending on what type of plugin it will be, can be rather simple or quite complex. For the moment, until you've become a bit more accustomed to customizing plugins and things, you might take a slightly different approach. Rather than think 'this is what I want to do' and try and find the plugins, decide if you're going to be one platform or both. Figure out which plugins will apply to your platform decision, gather them together and think 'what can I do with this?'. My first published app is rather involved, yet contains only plugins available in the plugin market, and is available on both Android and iOS. My clients are thrilled, and I really didn't do much but tie things together. I'm still not certain what your 'goal' is... if you're obtaining information from an outside source, you might think about 'wrapping' the external site in a customURL or HTML screen... If you're gathering information from the user, I'm not sure what's available, but I know @kaybee is working on some kind of form plugin that will allow surveys or some kind of information gathering scheme to send outside the device, but I don't know how close that is to completion. Or like what Vlad said; use a menu for the 'choice' and have the 'result' take the user to a different screen... Cheers! -- Smug

KristinT, Please try to explore the existing plugins, I spent about 40 $ and bought about 6 existing plugins. It works great and it gives my apps very polished look. The plugins are not expensive if you consider how much work it cost to produce them. Thumnail viewer, menu with a picture, ... just putting those together with nice picture can give you a stunning result. Everone would welcome broader variety, but just give it a try to use what is already there may launch your success! Cheers! Frogman

Thank you for that Frogman. I guess I didn't realize how much the existing plugins can do. I will have to play with all of them and figure them out because at first glance they did not seem like they would work for what I need. I'm sure I just haven't given them enough time so thank you for encouraging me. :) Kristin

I was very surprised myself when I integrated menu with picture, circleview menu, thumb viewer and invisible facebook into one application, how great it looks. I did not publish it yet, so it would be quite difficult to see it. Once it is finished and published (maybe is some weeks from now), I will drop you a message so that you can see yourself. One more comment - there is much more available for iOS and it also looks very cool, when compared to Android. The only advantage of Android over iOS is that you can publish almost immediately. On the other hand, the result oftentimes look like that. I will most likely focus on iOS and spend most time there. I am not saying that I quit Android, not at all. There is huge opportunity there, but it is much easier to work with iOS in the beginning. Cheers! Frogman
