Is there something you are stuck with? Sure we can all assist and get you there. Who is your host?

Hi MacApple, I'm not stuck with anything. I'm just a little busy at the moment, and need some rapid assistance before Monday. I would usually do it myself, but life is intense right now. I do want to learn how to do this myself eventually. How long do you think it would take me if I started tonight? I've built websites and I somewhat understand the process from reading the step-by-step guides on how to self-host.

Half hour tops buddy. Tens of 1000's have also done it, grab a coffee, comfy chair and you'll be done in no time. You'll spend more time negotiating a price and emailing someone than it'll take.

Yep - agree with @MacApple. I could do it for you, but given your experience it doesn't make sense to hire someone else to do it. 30 minutes sounds about right for a first-time install - that's probably at the high end, too.

Wasn't too sure if it was a big task. Seemed like it. Thank you MacApple and Chris1. If I have to trouble shoot something, I'll be back. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to respond.

This is what I love about the buzztouch community! Somebody posts an opportunity to make money, and everybody jumps in to help for FREE! Absolutely amazing, and something that wouldn't happen anywhere else on the Internet. Rock on!

@David. LOL. So where do I find the API Key Secret....or do I just make that up? Install doc for self-hosted needs to be updated as it looks like you need to change the config.php file rather than copy/paste into your new setup (almost done) :-) Cheers

API Secret: You decide this. Like a password. install .pdf instructions. Yikes...I thought we already did that. On it. Just wrote a crazy-complicated post about Android. Been swimming in Android for weeks now...can't tell if Google I/O made things easier or harder. Those Googlers sure move fast!

LOL...thanks David. Self-hosted is all setup for me...finally! Instructions at https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/BuzzTouchServerTutorial.pdf were good until the last bit about the secret...the config.php file needs to be updated with secret as well as buzztouch login, then need to go back to buzztouch control panel to enter all the self-hosted info. Cheers

@wecava. I can also help (on Sunday)...via Google Hangouts :-) Just set it up myself and it did take about 30 mins...the instructions at the link below are good (except for the bit about the secret which I can walk you through)...pretty straight-forward..PM me also if you need help. https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/BuzzTouchServerTutorial.pdf Cheers

Hi everyone. Thank you for all of your support and concern. I very much appreciate it. I have managed to take myself to final stages. When I go to log in and put in my email and password I get this: "An error ocurred in the db_connect() method in utilityFunctions.php (1)" If anyone could help me on this, that would be great!
