ScringoManifest

I followed the video on how to add Scringo SDK to my android project, but when I get to the part where is says to add the content of “ScringoManifest.txt” to my project’s AndroidManifest.xml, Eclipse is giving me these errors: error: Error: String types not allowed (at 'configChanges' with value 'orientation|keyboardHidden|screenSize'). Any help will be appreciated. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiLfMEaE-1s&feature=youtu.be

I've been dealing with this too. This is what worked for me: I added the ScringoManifest.txt content to right below the first <application> tag and removed |screenSize from each line. Example: <activity android:name="com.scringo.features.radar.ScringoRadarActivity" android:configChanges="orientation|keyboardHidden"/> Do that 27 times and see if it fixes you up! I also save after every line change to confirm the error went away. Hope this helps!

Thanks that worked, however when I run the app in the emulator I am getting "Sorry - This app has stopped unexpectedly - force close" any idea?

That error may not be specifically relate to the ScringoManifest import. I did get similar errors, but it was because I had missed another step along the way. I would recheck all of your other steps as related to the video. Also, to eliminate as many variables as possible, test using just your Scringo app id in the Scringo.properties file. Add each additional id (facebook, twitter, etc) one by one, save, and test. Back to the manifest question, I spoke to Scringo support and it may be related to our ADT version. I updated mine recently and that's when I started having problems with the manifest file. I need to verify my current version and let them know what I'm at but I can't do that from my present location. Anyway, hope this helps.

Thanks for your help. I tried what you suggested but still won't work, so I am just going to remove it from my app for now till they fix all bugs.

Hey guys. I ran into this problem too. Then I looked at the LogCat to figure out exactly where the road block was and that led me to this on StackOverflow. I'm using ADT 22 and the solution to check the Android Private Libraries in Order and Export worked like a charm. Hope it works for you too. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16596969/libraries-do-not-get-added-to-apk-anymore-after-upgrade-to-adt-22
